Technical Round Table: Energy Efficiency and Cannabis Cultivation Facilities

Cannabis cultivation has very intensive energy use requirements - energy costs for cultivators are often 20-40% of operating costs. The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission oversees a working group of state agencies to help develop best practices regarding energy efficiency and resource usage.  The state’s policymakers and this new industry will need the expertise of the energy design and engineering community. We have assembled experts with direct experience in the engineering of cannabis facilities.

American Nuclear Society - Northeastern Section


The Northeastern Local Section of the American Nuclear Society would like to invite you to be added to our event notification list.  The ANS Northeastern Section serves the nuclear community in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont with the primary constituency being in the greater Boston and Eastern Massachusetts area. The Northeastern Section’s mission is to provide a forum for the professional and public exchange of information regarding nuclear related science and engineering topics and for the development of the individuals and organizations involved in such endeavors .In accomplishing this mission, the NE Section provides timely information on nuclear topics at its meetings and at this web site. The American Nuclear Society and the NE Section strive to advance the understanding of nuclear related science and engineering topics within the nuclear profession and the interested public.

Our section typically holds one dinner meeting per month from September to May of each year. They are normally held in the general vicinity of the Mass Pike – Route 128 interchange. We have a speaker for most meetings that presents a nuclear or energy related topic in their area of expertise. Our meetings go from 5:30 pm to 8:30 on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings. The advance registration fee. Including dinner, ranges from $10 for students to $40 for non-members.

There are no charges to be added to the list. We typically issue 2 emails per month on upcoming events.
