Please join the Northeast Energy and Commerce Association and the Connecticut Power and Energy Society for the 17th Annual New England Energy Conference and Exposition. This year's theme is Green Thumb on the Scale: Impact on Future Energy Choices.

This two-day event will bring together industry leaders and public officials from all sectors affecting the energy industry in New England. The conference will examine key factors likely to shape industry and customer decisions on how to supply this region’s energy needs. Those factors include public policies and programs promoting renewables and efficiency, existing and anticipated environmental regulations affecting the existing power plant fleet, changes in financial markets, electricity transmission planning policies, and emerging energy technologies.

Attendees will hear the views of an array of distinguished speakers including Curt Spalding, Regional Administrator, US Environmental Protection Agency, Region 1 who will address EPA’s regulatory initiatives affecting energy supply choices. Luncheon Keynote Marc Spitzer, Commissioner, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will also provide his perspective of FERC’s priorities and initiatives affecting New England and neighboring control areas.

Distinguished experts from all sectors of the industry, and public policy advocates will offer their candid views and in-depth analyses on key topics, including:

• New England at the Crossroads: the Intersection between Regulatory Policy and Future Energy Supply
• Environmental Regulation: A Generation Gauntlet
• Financing: New Developments
• Customer Opportunities for Going Green
• The Supply Side Speaks
• Taking Advantage of New Green Technology
• Resource Integration

The conference Exhibition Hall will also offer opportunities to learn about state-of-the-art energy products and services. Networking opportunities with other participants, speakers, panelists, keynotes and industry and government leaders will be provided at the annual golf outing, being held at Metacomet Golf Club, and at a Tour and Tasting at the Sakonnet Vineyards.
